Christopher Oill is a concert pianist, composer, and teacher, who leads performance and pedagogy into the future, perfecting “what is” and experimenting with “what could be.” Through his teaching business, the Oill Piano Universe, he helps open up the minds of creative musicians around the world, and he gives them the tools to succeed in their own niche way. In addition to teaching, he also assists in production work for the Faber Piano Adventures and publishes pedagogical piano music through the FJH Music Company, inc. His piano compositions have been described as “unique” and “refreshing,” so they make a nice addition to any piano teacher’s sheet music library.
Christopher holds an MM in Piano Performance Pedagogy from Arizona State University, and a BM in Piano Performance and Music Education from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. He has held multiple positions on the ASMTA board, adjudicated for several piano and composition competitions in the USA, and given creative presentations to music teachers around the globe, including at prominent events like the MTNA National Conference and the National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy. You can learn more about Christopher at his website OilPianoUniverse.com.
